Warwick Heart-to-Heart: Bipartisan Dinner at Tied House Lititz

From one of our admins:

I’d like to speak openly, and get a little personal here.

As part of the LGBTQ+ community, I knew about what had taken place online, I felt very emotionally drained by everything, and I had been avoiding dining at the Tied House.

I was a little worried, and unsure how I would be treated.

But I don’t think yelling and starting even more problems solves anything - I’m here to talk, get to know my neighbors, and be a part of my community.

I’m always going to be me, wearing my favorite pride jewelry, waving hello to everyone, enjoying my peaceful life of gardening, shopping downtown, and reading.

I messaged the Tied House to let them know I was an admin and a founder of a Warwick unity group and we were having a bipartisan dinner of Warwick employees, parents, grandparents, alumni, and community members there.

They greeted me right away, and had a large table set up for us, and all of the wonderful employees working at Tied House Lititz provided us welcoming and friendly service.

I have some very different opinions than many of my friends and my fellow admins - both liberal and conservative.

But what we all have in common is our humanity.

We seek peace, understanding, growth and we ask - what can we do to build a better community?

Let us know, Warwick!  We’re here for you!
